It is somehow hard, well, the winter sent his messengers; rain, light wind, the smell, the atmosphere, and many more. The thing is that you are not here! Why should you? I do not know! But last time I had to meet the winter's messengers you were here, so why not this time? Well, how can I say I do not know! I do know, very well. Am I able to admit it; of course yes. But it is this weakness in us that we wish things were different. Well, they are not. They will not be. Remember, it is a matter of choice. That is what I said, and beleived. Do I still beleive? I guess yes. Of course yes. Because if it was not yes; I would not have been here now. Where? There! Of course. It is true what she said. We would not be happy! I agree. I could not agree more. But of course, I resist. The good thing is, resist inward. What the hell does this mean? Does not matter. I know what I am talking about! Despite all that, it is not nice to meet the new commer - the winter- without you.

Sit on my Kanaba, relax and share your mind. Posted by Picasa

Kanaba is a word in Arabic that means couch. Why I call my blog Kanaba is an interesting question. In fact there are two reasons I did so; the first is a long story that I will explain later but briefly it is a metaphor that a friend of mine created and we kept using for years, which resemble being so effortless specially with girls, like sitting like a couch in front of a girl that you admire but you do nothing to tell her so! It is worth mentioning here that we meant the decent relationships not just playing with girls cause we are not this kind of people. It is so funny that because we are usually serious about it and we don’t meet so special girls often as they are not so many like special guys, so doing nothing about it is just crazy and least to be described as KANABA!
That was the light, superficial funny part of the meaning of Kanaba. Now the more deep second meaning of the word is that fact that Kanaba means couch! What is the couch, it is where you sit, relax, think, reflect with someone(s) close; friend, life partner (wife or husband), mom, dad, sister, brother while watch TV and news that turns you mad, nice movie, interesting documentary that inspire your mind, with a good coffee, tea or healthy snack or meal. Of course my Kanaba will be a space for me to talk, share, and express views and ideas about issues of my interest while your feedback and inputs are so important and needed too. Issues related to the poor, the underprivileged, Human Rights, freedom, democracy, Islam, Egypt, Arabs, arts, travel, photography, light sports, food, cultures, traditions and many more will be reflected upon around my Kanaba. Welcome to my Kanaba!
